Prayer is like EXERCISE,… to get the REAL BENEFIT from it,…
you have to do it YOURSELF !
That said, all of us here at Still Water Ministries-Indiana Pastoral Care would like to join with you in prayer as the Bible encourages us to love one another,… and one of the best ways to do that is to pray with and for each other.
Here’s are a few Scripture citations about prayer to keep in mind:
Matthew 18:20 – For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
James 5:16– Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
1 Timothy 2:1– I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people.
Ephesians 6:18 – And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
Jeremiah 29:12 – Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
Psalm 34:15 – The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry
Daniel 9:18 – Give ear, our God, and hear; open your eyes and see the desolation of the city that bears your Name. We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy.
1 John 5:14 – This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
